  • The Lantern Community Governance

    The members of the Lantern Community Board are both Trustees and Directors, responsible respectively to the Charity Commission and Companies House and are accountable for the "good governance" of the Lantern Community.
    Governance is a general concept applied to different organisations and can refer to a "level" of governance, "field" of governance, "model" of governance, or "process" of governance.

    The Lantern Community does not perceive itself as an 'agency' or a 'service provider'. We strive to build a community that recognises and responds with creativity, flexibility and openness to the variety and diversity of changing needs, and to co-operate in enabling each individual to move to a desirable personal future.

    CQC inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety and publish reports, including performance ratings.
